The new wool processing factory was set up at Coombe, next to the railway station on the Looe railway branch line. The business ran two 50 ton barges on the Liskeard-Looe Uniont canal prior to that organisation building the railway to complete the rail link to Caradon. At the turn of the century, John Hitchens BLAMEY decided that George Gregor MORCOM was too successful to be allowed to continue alone! Incorporation cemented the trading partnership existent previously. (This note by Colin Gregor MORCOM in Jan 1999, is based on the work of Arthur Frank MORCOM who commenced piecing together the documentation which he had amassed about this firm.).
